Moss continues to be one of the more productive wide receivers in the league with another excellent season in 2008. He is a short, well-built player with excellent athleticism and above average strength. He has great push off the line of scrimmage with burst to stretch deep zones. He has good quickness out of his stems to create separation on short and intermediate routes. Moss does a great job to adjust away from his body to make the tough catch. He is an elusive player after the catch and is dangerous in the open field to pick up chunks of yards. Larger defenders can jam and reroute Moss off the line of scrimmage but he does have an effective freeze move to elude his opponent. He tracks the ball well on deep balls and has excellent leaping ability (for his size) in traffic. He lacks effectiveness as a blocker on the perimeter but still is a threat as a punt returner for the Redskins' special teams. He continues to be productive receiver but his skills are clearly declining.
